This is an independent companion to OverTheWire Bandit, a wargame for people learning command-line and security fundamentals.

How to use the track

  1. Read the official goal for the level first.
  2. Try the level before opening the progressive hints.
  3. Compare the method with the evidence you observed; understand each command before running it.
  4. Keep technique notes, not passwords. Credentials can change and should be used only for the next official login.

Credentials and spoilers

Baitaphish does not publish, request, or store current game credentials. Every lesson separates the official objective, progressive hints, method, expected non-secret observation, explanation, troubleshooting, cleanup, and next step.

Use the techniques only in the OverTheWire environment or another system where you have clear permission.

Attribution and limits
